The Greer amps Southland Overdrive is the same as the famous Greer Lightspeed circuit but with more overdrive.

This pedal go do mild to thick overdrive, while retaining fine clarity and tone. Sounds fantastic with both sigle coils and humbuckers and is especially magical at adding a snarl to good quality tube amps such as the classic Fender and Marshall amps

Compared to the Lightspeed - the Southland has more gain, with two stages of clipping (utilizing different diode types for each stage of clipping), a focused midrange (not that annoying “hump”), and a bit of presence on top of the signal, to help cut through the mix. The Southland Harmonic Overdrive, like the Lightspeed, is touch sensitive, responds to pick attack, and has dynamics that just won’t stop.

The Southland Harmonic Overdrive is good for any musical style & stacks very well with the Lightspeed.
